Think about Points of View
In elementary school, your child is beginning to learn to analyze and see things from different points of view. To reinforce this skill:
- Have your child sort small items—buttons, coins, toy animals—by size. Then mix them up again and have your child sort them by color. This teaches that things can be part of more than one group.
- Discuss points of view. What does your child think land looks like to a dolphin? How about to a bird? Recognizing that there can be more than one way to look at something is an important reading and writing skill.
