Have a Family ‘Show and Tell’ Night

Show and Tell isn’t just for school. Families can enjoy Show and Tell nights, too. They are a great way to encourage presentation skills as well as family conversation and closeness.

Choose a theme for your family Show and Tell. Good topics include: “Something I’ve Made,” “A Favorite Memory” and “Something I’m Proud Of.” Then set aside plenty of time for each family member to show and tell. Serve snacks and have fun together. Your child will get a safe opportunity to practice public speaking, and you will all learn more about what’s important to one another.
