Keep a Moon Chart This Month

Here's a fun activity that will help your child learn more about the moon.

This month, look for the moon together each evening. Have your child write down what time it rises and draw a picture of its shape each night.

At the end of the month, help her make a chart showing how the moon changed during the month. Then, have her use her chart to answer questions: For how many days does the moon get bigger? Smaller? For how many days is the moon full?
