Combine Fitness With Conversation

Most parents know that it's important to be involved with their student's education and to keep up with their daily activities. But for many families, competing schedules can make finding time to connect difficult.

Here's one suggestion: Combine a fitness walk with a family talk. Each evening, set aside 30 minutes for a brisk walk with your family. During this short time period, you'll have a chance to catch up with what's happened during the school day.

Talking and walking at the same time makes the time go by quickly—and the exercise much more enjoyable. It also helps your teen avoid becoming a couch potato who spends too many hours glued to screens.
