Show Your Teen That Learning is About More than Grades

Parents often ask their teens how they are doing in school. You may ask your teen how science is going. Or if English is getting any easier.

But what are you really asking? Chances are you want to know how your teen's grades are. Grades count, but it is the learning process that really matters. To make it clear that learning is about more than grades, ask about:

Questions like these show that you care about what your teen is thinking and learning. They also show you are concerned about your student's development. This makes it clear that learning is about far more than grades.
