Practice Math Facts Different Ways With Flash Cards

These days, even the youngest children know how to use a calculator. But it's still important that they be able to do math problems without one.

If your child is just learning math facts, or if he needs to brush up on facts taught earlier, help him make some flash cards. Ask the teacher what math facts your child should master at his grade level.

You and your child can use index cards to make flash cards. Write problems (9 x 3) on one side and answers (27) on the other. Then vary the way you use the cards.
