Use a Guessing Game to Talk About the Day

Do you sometimes feel that you have to pull teeth to get your child to tell you details about the school day?

Try a fun game that gets your family talking. Over dinner, have family members take turns telling three things that they did at school or work: two things that really happened and one that is made up.

The goal is to make up something that didn't happen and make the family believe it did. Family members get to ask questions while each person tells about the day. Then the family decides which of the stories is false.

You can also play this game by having each person tell three things that really happened, then have family members guess which was the speaker's favorite event of the day.
