You don’t have to be a teacher to make a difference in your child’s education. There are lots of simple, yet meaningful, ways to do it:

Smile at your child, even if you've had only a few hours’ sleep.
Put encouraging notes where your child will find them during the day: on the bathroom mirror, in a lunch bag, on a pillow.
Be there when your child needs you, and let your child do things independently when your help isn’t needed.
Laugh at knock-knock jokes— even the zillionth time.
Discipline with kindness and consistency.
Accept that your child may not turn out exactly as you expected.
Celebrate special moments, no matter how small.
Say “I love you” to your child every day!
