Make Every Minute Count

Spending time with your child is an important way to foster long-term school success. Here’s an idea to help you get things done and still give your child your time: Pay some attention to your elementary schooler while you are doing household chores, like cooking, tidying and yard work.

While you do the chore, talk with your child. Or you could have your student read a favorite story to you while you work. Your child will get the attention and interaction that helps students do well in school, and you will also get necessary tasks done.
