Promote a Love of Books and Reading

Every now and then, declare a Reading Day. The entire day is set aside to read book after book.

If your child is young, you can spend most of the day reading favorite books aloud. Let your child choose what you'll read. Your child can also decide when it's time for a break or a snack.

For families with older kids, Reading Day can be a time when everyone curls up with a favorite book, then shares the interesting parts during mealtimes.
